At GNPS it is possible also to generate a rarefaction curve of the input datasets. This rarefaction curve allows users to explore just how diverse the data set. To generate a rarefaction curve, users simply need to create a molecular network as described here .
Once the job is completed, users can view the rarefaction curve by clicking on the Networking Statistics link.
This will take users to a page with text.
There will be two rarefaction curves, one with a global ordering of files, a second with grouping the file names by the original input groups.
|#ClustersAffected||Clusters that file is a constituent of|
|#MarginalClusters||How many new clusters are created with the addtion of that file|
|#Cumulative Clusters||Total cumulative clusters touched by all files up to this point|
|FileSpectra||Number of spectra in file that contribed to any cluster in considering|
